Now that the Chalice POTM is closed maybe I should have chosen one of these?

It's crazy, that chalice used to be shaded by a plating Monti that I had to pull when I got some Monti eating nudi's (Ugh). It suddenly was getting blasted by light, halfway up in the tank and bleached out. 6 months later it's coloring up and starting to grow and the new growth has that crazy glowing edge and the gold that used to be somewhat muted is now just popping. The second pic is the same one, it's growing so much the neighboring favia has been blasting it with nightly sweepers. Thanks for the kind words.

Do you mean camera settings or lights? On the camera, these shots were with a red/ deepwater filter. Shot at 400 ISO, F9. I also set the exposure compensation somewhere between 2 and 3 (I've found that makes a big difference in making the colors really pop).

I am also curious, about when would they normally post them? Is there a set date each month?
