I’ve been looking for months trying to figure these 3 zoas - maybe palys- out. I’ve gone back and video’s, snapped pictures, drooled. I’m now asking y’all if they look familiar because I really need to find and buy them. This tank is the display tank t Aqua-Dome in Austin, TX. They don’t know what they are and they don’t seem keen on fragging some for me. Scroll up to see the greenish ones at the bottom of the photo. Also, the luscious ones top right have a mint green look as you might tell by the video

Embarrassing that I was being a nerd during the video. I was trying to justify why I was so desperate trying to figure out the name of everything.

Top left: Cornbred Rainbow Infusion Palys

Bottom: Rainbow Incinerators

Top right: hard to tell with the coloring. If it's more lime green in the disk, may be frozen apples:

So - it's hard to say - so I won't voice my opinion on what they are - and frankly I'm surprised that people are identifying them without various lighting pictures. But - from a discussion standpoint - can I ask why you're concerned

Sure you can ask. I want to own some. Zoas are my favorite corals and are what made me want to start a saltwater tank. I've only been doing this for a few months and I know people on here have light years more experience than I do. I'm takin it to the streets. Even if the suggestions are close I'm happy with that. I know that you really can tell what you are looking at - if you know, you know. I do a lot of other things and I know immediately what the things I'm experienced with are or what's going on. My sister and her husband train Thoroughbred race horses and before a horse takes 2 steps she can tell if it has a sore back or if it has a problem with it's conformation that would make it a bad candidate for the track. Ha, you got more than you bargained for huh? I talk too much...

No - It was an interesting answer - thanks for explaining. I mean if you said - 'I want to sell them' vs 'I just want to know what's in my tank' vs. 'I saw these and am considering buying them' - are totally different questions. Then - the title suggested that somehow they were killing you (LOL). My personal opinion is these change color over generations - and though you may have xxx now, in 5 years it may look totally different

Sure, there is some variation in how a certain named zoa/paly looks from one shop/tank to another. Not all children look the same either. Well, we're not reproducing asexually, but still.

Please don’t eat anymore of these zoas if they are killing you. There are so many other things that you can eat and enjoy without the risk of death.

This hobby has so many dangers to our health and I hope that you can find peace under the circumstances, as I do understand this situation all too well.

Try the 12 steps and the serenity prayer, they have not helped me much but you may have been results?
now im into it great british bake off GIF by BBC

;) :smiling-face-with-sunglasses:

Not yet, but I’m sure we’ll figure it out eventually.

Those are super pretty. I wonder if the industry would ever agree to all shoot at least one of the images under some standard lighting where you can see the “real” color. Or at least real-ish color. I love that Tidal Gardens includes a couple different lighting images.
