Tank thread for my new SCA150. keeping it simple for now! I will make this all pretty eventually.

Stocking planned is for alot wrasse. I hope to try some leopard wrasse aswell, but those are new to me!
I want to add a tang or 2 max.

Corals planned is just a simple light mixed reef. Light being on the SPS, mainly because i am new and not so good with them yet!

Felt like everyday for 2 weeks a new box would show up magically at the door. Bless these delivery people! The sump box was MASSIVE.

Just kept trying to plan out and think of everything while waiting for the tank to ship.

So i must say i have no pictures of the unboxxing of my nice fancy tank. I didn't take any pictures of it being received... amazing idea right??

Hoisting 80lb bunch of rock into a tank sounds scary... so i didn't do it! I put the rock in the tank before i set the tank on the stand. Ah much better....

Some assembly required.... remember that fancy big ole sump? Well it don't fit. Had to remove a center brace from the cabinet to slip it in. Still a bit of a squeeze to get it in.

Got a cheap led strip light for the cabinet and im pretty happy with the results! Remote controlled and all that.

Christmas eve update!

The tank is.... still empty!
Only thing i have to show at the moment is some equipment. I have some tampa bay rock coming in beginning of January!

First up is this wonderful little light i won from the Reefbreeders giveaway!



Replaced the little plastic screw thing for a screw in the stand. Doesnt move a bit. I got the display refugium/freshwater version. I hope to have a little macro algea display/naughty fish home.

Introducing Dip and Dot.
I have had this pair in a small IM15 cube for about a year. They are super pretty so i figure let them get a upgrade. Check out the blue lines along the edges of the black! I wish i could get a solid picture.
Dot is the chunky female!

Dry rock starts are slow rolling and i felt the burn with my previous tank. So many cycles of various "ugly"
This tank i hope to mitigate that! I got some nice pretty rocks from TBS. Wanted the Biodiversity that came with the rocks. Stuck it in the sump so i can watch it grow.

I noticed some kinda crab. Haven't gotten a picture. Very small and white. Also a tiny tiny porcelain crab, snails and pods everywhere.
The first set of pictures is immediately out of the shipping bag the 9th. The set below is from on the 16th. I want to keep posting a timeline for others i was told alot would die off over time, but lets cross our fingers. So far so good.

Also! Is that a gorgonian i see?? Last picture little dude with a few polyps.

I got the 5lb premium treasure chest. They say different macro/sponges come and go with the season so i plan on grabbing another box in a few months ! Me and my partner huddle around the "tidepool" in the livingroom.

I would love i light SPS mixxed reef.
I have good luck with lps, zoas, and softys so i will focus mainly there. I hope with this new fancy tank i can learn to support Acros and all those pretty sticks!

Not much to update, waiting on shipments for fish and coral! Delays Delays Delays.
But here is a goofy picture of my wrasse. This little guy has been with me since i set up my other tank over a year ago!

I will get a nice full bodu shot tomorrow at feeding time!

Small update! Night before the big wrasse wrangle. Tomorrow 6 wrasse will be hitting the tank! Also a few more coral. Be sure to check in for the cool stuff tomorrow!

But for today!

Got this cute little guy from @DIYreefer along with some jawbreakers! First time with leather/toadstool. Just never got one before lol!

Also got the VCA nozzle connected. Alot more of a pain than it should've been. The tank came with some metric brand that dident fit. No biggie VCA make a adapter! Well the one i need is soldout/backorder whatever on every place i looked lol! So i just pickup some "name brand" loc-line.
Yay.....
