my numbers are below. I would like to get my alk down to 8. My nitrate and phosphate are always low. I’ve heard to run lower alk on a low nutrient tank. I can lower my doser to get my alk to 8 but my calcium will drop. What # do I want my calcium to be when my alk gets to 8. I am dosing B-Ionic calcium buffer system 2 part
1/2/21
Salinity 1.025
Alk 9.5
Calcium 400
Nitrate 5
Phosphate .01

Balanced calcium with an alk of 8 DKH is around 415ish ppm. You can taper down your alkalinity dosing and monitor calcium, dosing accordingly to slightly raise it over time.
