One LFS Information Technician suggested to me that brine shrimp have the nutritional value of a popsicle.

Is this correct?

And how would mysis shrimp compare?

Mysis certainly are smellier!

Adult brine shrimp are not very nutritious, but can be enriched for added value.

Baby brine shrimp, on the other hand, are very nutritious, the sooner they are fed after hatching the greater their nutritional value.

Mysis shrimp are quite nutritious.

You mention that mysis is 'smellier' if anything smells rotten or rancid don't use it. Frozen foods that have thawed and then refrozen shouldn't be used.

Feeding a variety of foods will prevent deficiencies from feeding only one type of food.

Freezing, thawing, and refreezing destroys nutritional value of foods, and if it 'stinks' it has gone bad, and can become a stressor and contributor of disease.

Figuring out the why: Has your primary reason(s) for keeping a saltwater aquarium changed over time?
