After buying a house and life getting in the way I'm finally getting back to the hobby I love. I got a used 40 Nuvo tank up and running. Luckily my Dad has a reef tank so I was able to have a babysitter for my coral for over a year. I've set the tank up and just finished the cycle and started to add live stock. Here is a pic of the scape I went with, stay tuned for updates!

Equipment list:
Tank: Innovative Marine 40 gallon Nuvo
DIY Stand
Light: Ecotech Marine gen 3 radian XR30
Flow: Aqua Illumination Nero 3 powerhead
Controller : Apex
Skimmer: NuvoSkim
Return Pump: Mightyjet 538 gph
Reactor: Minimax Pro Media Reactor
Heater: Finnex 150W titanium heater
Currently toping off manually as well as dosing manually. I have a JBJ ATO as well as a Eshopps dosing pump and planning on adding at some point down the line. I like starting off manually doing these to get a fell for the new tank.

Livestock:
fish
A pair of black ice clownfish
royal gramma

Coral:
Bi color frogspawn
a couple different acan frags
once I grab the rest of my corals I will update the plan is to have a mixed reef tank with a little bit of everything.

Those clowns are nice looking. I think they’re frostbites tho (not that it really matters unless ur looking to sell them). Tanks looking good-I’m excited to see the progression!

Added my corals I had prior to having this tank. They were being watched for a year in my fathers tank. Acclimating well and starting to color up really nice.

Tank looks really good. Digging the aquascape with some branches. It's going to fill out very nicely.

How are you liking the XR30 now you have it set up?

Thank you ! I really enjoy the xr30 running coral lab AB+ schedule and has been looking really good. Also I’m excited with the branch rocks planning on putting some acros on them to grow out

After months of dealing with new tank algae bloom the tank is really starting to come together getting some good growth and colors.
