Also here is a bit of the little issues I deal with:
1. GSP. I brought it over from my previous tank, which grows like a weed and I currently learned; will even irritate things such as the micro lords. I replaced the left rock last weekend to pull *most* of it out (right rock has a patch but isolated via zoas which is an epic battle lol)

2. Various coral warfare:
+ chalice vs chalice battle (different species etc). I fragged (read: broke off pieces) and traded to LFS... eventually will become a problem again but such is life. Lol im ok with that if the solution is that simple again
+Platygyra vs. JF Burning banana Stylocoeniella. Ehh the stylo is so big and grows like a weed too so I've left it be... although I could just move the platy; I don't wanna really move it yet . maybe laziness?
*see photos, yeah lazy reefer lol

Other issues:

Consistently measure low on alk via LFS spin test (forgot exactly name) (monthly test) (PH & CA. Great) but other than a random patch of the burning banana stylo with RTN *knock on wood* everything has grown stupid quick so I've never worried too much. Don't chase numbers they say... ✊

Other than that... pretty smooth sailing!

Oh but let me not forget my ultimate error; starving the system of nutrients! This tank crashed about once a yr until I began feeding daily, about 3 yrs ago. Since then though, really enjoyable system!

Future plans: migrate to larger tank.
I am being picky though and I've got some time before the left rock is filled up; so I'll wait until I find exactly what I need for a bargain. It has to run either an external overflow or be a peninsula so I could drill the rear chamber, and of course big enough for the next rock to fill lol... if you know any deals!

Ok I think that is quite enough for a proper journal entry! Enjoyed via serious coral observation of course

Ok so here is the latest!

the replaced rock on the left definitely threw off a little cycle and a few corals were not happy. Purple stylo lost it color and RTN some. Not the 1st time it had ever happened to it so *knock on wood* it makes a comeback. Also the plating grafted monti lost its color as well

but luckily the monti color is coming back and starting to see polyp extension again!

Finally post rock replacement was me cleaning the glass daily and the sand got dirty with some diatoms, same with the new rock, but again, everything seems to be rebalancing! Glass isn't requiring a daily cleaning at least!
