Hello,
I’m thinking about changing my skimmer because I’m having trouble keeping nutrients in check. The tank is ~350 gallons. I’m currently running an AquaBee Cove 250 DC.

I’m considering a NYOS 300, or a Deltec 6000/3000. Deltec claims the 3000 is suitable for up to 790 gallons, which seems hard to believe given its reported air draw of 1,900 l/h, while my AquaBee pulls ~2,000 l/h and is only rated to ~390 gallons.

Are Deltec’s performance ratings optimistic, or are there other factors besides air draw that make a skimmer more much more effective?
