Oceanic I believe is out of business. I had oceanic tanks back in the day and I loved them. I believe they were one of the better tanks to have when there were limited options with manufacturers.
I'd say your best bet is to check the overall quality of the tank instead of the brand. Anything used has pros and cons, regardless of the company

I had a brand new 58g RR one that I ended up selling because I never got a chance to use it. I still regret it! It was such a beautiful tank.

Dude that tank and stand is an ancient point of sale. Not only is it god-awful and ugly looking, for $250, it's a total rip-off. Next time Petco does it's tank sale you can get a brand new 75 gallon for $90 and Petsmart has black stands on sale for $140. This isn't a good deal. Don't do it.

I have a 90g Oceanic tech tank and have always been happy with the tank, but the Oceanic stand I originally bought with the tank fell apart within a couple of years. You can easily build a better stand on your own.

For something smaller, like a 75, I'd go new. The larger oceanic tanks had glass braces that made them almost indestructible (I have a 150 vintage 1998).

Oceanic made nice tanks.

But...if the seller wants 250 bucks for that, it needs cleaned up quite a bit. It looks like a 90 gallon, btw (24" tall).

I don't think Petco's 1$/gallon sales usually apply to tanks larger than 40 breeder.

I’d stay away. Not because it’s an Oceanic tank, but because $250 is way too expensive for that set -up.

as others have stated, stay away at that price point. if it was drilled, maybe 150.

amen.. i got a 130g with a glass brass and ti seems to be well built. compared to the all glass or marine land of the tiem. thinker glass all around. even the stand seemed to be built stronger than others.

That looks like a Coralife Oceanic Tank. Known for bow fronts and bio cubes and particle board stands. Original Oceanic placed a waterproof sticker inside the tank with a build date. To this day I am not sure why Coralife bought Oceanic, the only thing they used was the name Oceanic. Most of the aquarium builders went to DSA and Planet

Oh man that brings back memories! First real salt tank In 2000 was this oceanic 55 with a “wet dry” filter ( kinda like a sump) loaded up with bio balls. Put 100 lbs of fresh from the ocean Florida live rock and that tank rocked. Never had cyano or Dino’s like everyone has now just GHA. This is the last remaining picture of it since it was all 35mm back then.
