SCIENTIFIC NAME –Parachaetodon ocellatus

COMMON NAME – Ocellate Coralfish

SIZE – 7" (18 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SZE – 75 US Gal. (284 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING– The Ocellate Coralfish consumes algae, small crustaceans, and sponges. This species may be enticed to eat live brine shrimp, mysid shrimp, or black worms. Once eating, offer chopped fresh seafood, frozen brine shrimp, frozen preparations for carnivores and omnivores, and flake foods.

REEF COMPATIBILITY – With caution.

CAPTIVE CARE –The Ocellate Coralfish is best kept in pairs or small groups and specimens should be introduced at the same time. This species prefers a large amount of swimming room, plenty of hiding places, non-aggressive tank mates, and an established reef tank will help ensure success. It should also be noted that this fish poses a potential threat to sessile invertebrates and small shrimp.
