Odd question - mothballs and aquarium water

Rodents are moving into the winter apartment, also known as my garage.
I dropped a few moth ball packs around to ward them off and the odor is strong.
Then realized my RODI station is in the garage.
Will the mothballs effect the RODI water, sorta like VOCs in paint?

Good question. . . do you have a way to place an oversize bag over it to reduce fumes?

Yeah, may do that. It's in a 33g trash can with cover, I'll drop an additional contractor bag over the top.

Was just curious if there would be a reaction. Seems the mothballs do give off the VOC dichlorobenzene, which is poorly soluble in water. I don't know if that means it can still act as a mixture in the water or not and, if so, if its harmful to fish.
Mostly curious, was hoping there was a chemist typeor someone with the knowledge that might catch the post.
