The ghost overflow!

You can see the bubbles trapped under it on the left side.

In tank it's takes up less than 1.5 inches

This one overflow can handle 4,000 GPH

The surface skimming is silent and the grate/teeth is held on by magnets. They pop off and can be submerged in a vinegar bath to be cleaned.

It works like a bean animal/herbie drain in that there are three pipes. The main drain will have a gate valve that will run full siphon. A secondary drain will have a small amount of water and will act as a full siphon if the first one gets clogged. The third is for emergency and can also act as a full siphon if your lazy but won't take care of the first two failures :)
