I have a 30 gallon tank which currently I am running a Lee's protein skimmer and it's been running good for about 9 months however it is now breaking down and just falling apart and I think my corals are paying for it. I could really use some advice on which protein skimmer is a good protein skimmer that can fit in my tank because I do not have a sump and also money is tight right now so I'm looking for a low budget protein skimmer that works very well and that doesn't take up too much space because all I have is my 30 gallon tank. Any advice would be helpful please feel free to educate me on the best protein skimmer for my situation

I think my corals are paying for it.

If your protein skimmer was the only thing keeping your corals happy, then something else is going on. (Skimming isn't that critical.)

If you replace the skimmer, for $80 I'd be shopping used not new.

It's only a 30 gallon. You don't need to spend a ton of money on a skimmer.

I would go used, check local craigslist and ebay and then come back here and ask opinions on what you find
