This is my process for dipping zoas and other corals:

cup of rodi water, add Bayer to rodi then add corals to the solution.

brush and swirl around for 10-15 minutes

rinse in rodi water

place into tank

Are these good practice for dipping zoa corals? Will the Bayer remove all the bad stuff except for the zoa eating nudis that I have to scrap off the eggs

thanks

I’ve always used this method.
I do exactly what you posted, then place in a QT tank. Then repeat this process before adding to DT. The second round after the dip, I swirl them in saltwater in a cut, just to double check for anything.

for zoanthids, I've always used Flat Worm Exit at 4x-5x the recommended dosage for about 2-3 minutes. This will kill imo the worst zoanthid predator, the zoanthid eating nudibranch. There is a snail that eats them, but they can just be picked out. While in quarantine, look for egg sacks and dip again after 4-5 days.
Don't think I would do bayer on zoanthids.

This isn’t a bad idea.
You should try this and see what it romoves.

Do a Bauer dip, then do a FW dip.
I wonder what the results would be.

But technically dipping with Bayer is plain rodi is also considered a freshwater dip?
No , not really.
Just freshwater dips with nothing else were common at one time.
