Yesterday I posted in my build thread about how my clown trigger ripped off all the nori and sent it everywhere.

WELLLL

I put new nori in about 5 minutes ago and my tangs started eating it. It like melted and flaked all over. I tried removing the bigger pieces but this s*** is everywhere!!!

Is it the kind of nori I got? Its also red not green? Anyone used this brand (picture below)??

Also look at what I mean by everywhere….

ALL OVER MY FREAKING WATER!!!!

Yeah they are sheets. Ive done this with green and never had an issue

These are roasted nori

You want the unroasted kind.

And green or red are both fine. I like the red ones as they are more premium at least in terms of human consumption

They’ll eat this stuff but it breaks off more easily and roasting will probably lose some nutrients.

The roasted one will be “crispy”

While the unroasted one will be like paper.

If you send me some pics of Asian brands/items I’ll let you know if they are roasted/unroasted

OHHHH I see I didnt realize it was roasted. Okay that makes more sense. Thank you!

I've never had a problem with cheap green sheets of 50 or 100 bought off Amazon, but I agree that if it's quickly disintegrating on you like that, it was probably "roasted," You don't want that anyway.

Usually I look for “sushi” nori as they are supposed to unroasted, but the growing popularity of roasted seaweed snacks have led to a lot of these big sushi nori sheets to actually be roasted as well in my experience.

Look for the really flat packages.

The roasted one will be packed in with some air to prevent flaking

Nope!! Yeah I got it off amazon. Must have gotten the roasted on accident.

If you can only find "roasted", this brand has stayed together for me. Fold it tight in the clip, maybe with less hanging out. All my fish eat it way before it disintegrates.
