I just got a bucket of this old rock at Petco. The manager said that it had been in the saltwater tanks for probably 15 years. I don’t know what it is, is it manmade? They all have this weird circular stamp. They vary in size but are kind of donut shaped. They all have a hole drilled into the center. They originally had zip ties on them with a label. I was planning on trying to do a bleach cure. They’re all completely covered in vermetid snails, what can I do to get rid of them?

Can you post a pic of these rocks?

I think the best way to handle rock that was once live and now dried out is indeed to bleach cure it.

Good luck!

I agree, I wouldn't use any of that rock until it went through some bleach or an acid bath.
