? on moving coral

I bought a pulsing xenia about 6 weeks ago. I read that they either take over your tank or don't do well and fade away.

Mine was doing great for a couple weeks, then I moved some of my coral around and after a week or so noticed the xenia didn't likeit's new spot. I tried a few different spots and eventually put it back in it's original spot. Between each move I waited maybe 5 days.

It hasn't perked up yet. It will open, but so much smaller than before.

Am I giving them enough time to adapt to their new spot? If it doesn't do better soon, I might return it to LFS.

Have you checked nitrate? They loooooove nitrate

Ahhhhh, my nitrate is 0. I've been doing some reading on corals that actually like nitrates. I think some zoos like higher nitrates. I know some ppl dose, but I only have a 12 gal, so I get nervous dosing.

any ideas? Should I just return it before it gets to point of no return?

In my experience xenia thrives in dirty water and will recede when it starts to clean up. It would be your call on which way to go with it.

I 'll call LFS and bring it back. I would feel so bad if I killed it. :( Oh well, thanks for the help.
