Hard to tell from just his peepers, nice freebie though. I once got a mantis with my rock. Loved that little guy.

It's black with white spots if it's the one I see most. I'm thinking I have more than one though

Would need to see more of the body before a proper ID can be made. Nice find though! Where did the rock originate? Indonesia?

My lfs says great barrier reef.
He's basically black with white specks.
I just hope its not a large fish killer.

We have gotten mantis hitchhikers from the gulf that do just fine with everything. I even put some pvc in there for him to burrow and feed him larger pieces of food

Hoping yours is not a slasher.
