One spot fox face help

I have had my 1 spot fox face for about 2 months and today he just started layong over on his side on the sand. Then a few minutes later he is up swimming around is this normal or is there something wrong. No signs of anything that i can see.

They are normally very active during the day. Any recent additions to the tank?

No. The newest addition was a picasso trigger that went somewhere else today
