Lower failure rate: APEX vs GHL

There were some great things and valid concern on all products. Building a new tank build and still don't know where to go with it.
First world problems :) can’t really go wrong... unless you prefer to stack your gear ;)

My apex display recently stoped working. That should not have been a big deal, however it cause the whole Apex to stop working until I figured it out and disconnected it. This could have been a disaster if I was on vacation or away for a few days when it happened.

I did see your thread.

It's just crazy that a failed display that should have been automatically isolated brought the whole system down.

That is the way I feel as well. I no longer depend on my apex for any life support critical functions. This is now the 3 significant failure I have had with my apex. I just realized I still use it for feeding my fish. But I use a backup for that if I am gone more that 2 days.
Without a display my house sitter would not be able to see or do anything nor could I if fusion or the internet were down!

I hear you, what were the other 2 failures you've experienced?

On 3 occasions my apex turned my alk dosing pump from auto to "ON". Each time emptying my dosing container. The first time it happened I thought maybe I had accidently turned it on some how as I had made some changes in fusion the day before. The next 2 times I has not even looked at it for a week before it happened. The other failure happened pretty much at the third time it emptied my alk container. That was it failed to send me a text or email alarm when my PH spiked above 8.5, as it should have.
