Since you anticipate adding fish, I'd just feed more and call it a day.

It may not be the most-efficient short-term, but long-term you will grow into your system with much more ease.

If you dose chemicals or reduce filtration, it may be temporarily more efficient, but you are adding more steps to unwind as you add fish and the tank matures.

If you were having this issue in a system you thought was near-max with livestock, then I'd start messing with the other options to dial it in further.
