Need help to identify and recommend treatment. I have an orange slime growth in my sump. It clogs all my pumps and protein skimmer and I am needing to clean them daily. I dose nopox and microbacter 7 and have been doing that for 2 years. I recently installed a new protein skimmer and two return pumps. The glass has a white slimy film every morning. im thinking about trying Razor from Brightwell Aquatics. Any input is appreciated!

Bacteria from the nopox. You can suck it out but if you keep feeding it carbon it will grow back. It's not a big deal other than the way it looks and the inevitable clogging of things.

so if I stop NOPOX it should go away? I've stopped dosing microbacter and nopox

It's technically cleaning your tank of nutrients. I would suggest you test your nutrient levels as you slow down the nopox dosing. monitoring the nutrients will let you see when the levels start increasing as the bacterial colonies start declining. In my case, I'm dealing with similar issue and trying to find that balance still.
