I am afraid to order a few fish at the same time since it has always been recommended to add purchases slowly. How are you ordering from an online vendor and maintaining crowd control in the fish tank?

What tips and tricks have you learned?

My experience has been that while perhaps not ideal, one can get away with adding more than one fish to an established tank at the same time. I think "one fish at a time" is most important for newer systems, so that the biofilter has time to adjust. In some situations, in may work out better to add more fish at once as it may reduce the effects of territoriality. Maybe others can chime in.......

If I got another tank even for quarantine I would have to hide all the knives in the house from my wife; thats not an option. I will definately wait a little while longer, like caudill said, I was worried about bio filter keeping up with the new load.
