Just wondering if anyone out there has a Tideline 62 gallon lagoon, and who uses the original socks? I do see that nature dimensions has a dual Nano felt roller for $249 for both units and the controller...

just wondering if anyone has used their equipment and what their thoughts on the felt roller..

thank you in advance,

ron-

I believe real studies show that socks need cleaned every 3 or so days to be perfectly effective. I’m set up for socks in my sump but chose not to use them. I vacuum out my sump every 6/8 months. My 180 gallon crystal clear tank full of beautiful corals doesn’t know the difference. As far as rollermats, I haven’t had experience with those. Good luck.

Neither. Filter cups with polyfill or floss. Easy to clean, easy to replace. If needed, you can also run a bag of media like carbon or rowaphos in them without needing a reactor.
current setup is:
both original socks in OF, R-middle has bag of bio ball from LFS sump, L-middle is heater, then return pumps on outside. water parameters are good at AM: zero, Nitrite: zero, and Nitrate @ 25ppm.

i'm new, so just trying to grasp what i need while drinking water from a thimble, while the water is coming from a firehose... 🤣🤣

this seems like a good idea..
