Looking for a little clarification if someone can help out...I have an original vertex omega 130 skimmer with the original vertex aquaristik V-130 Omega pump. I know these were made specifically by Sicce for them. I would like to replace the impeller and wanted to know if I could purchase the replacement impeller for a Sicce PSK 400 pump or do I have to buy and entirely new pump for this skimmer. Thanks in advance.

Heres a pic of the old impeller:

With them going out of business, you may have to buy the whole pump. I am sure, if you do enough searching, you may find the impeller, I am just not sure were you may find it.

Any luck finding this? I need a new impeller as well.
i spoke with Sicce the pump manufacturer, they said the pump for the omega was specifically made for vertex and at this time you cannot buy a replacement or replacement parts. He did say some people have modified it for a new pump but I have yet to come across a thread. That’s as far as I took it. If you find something, please let me know.

You can buy a comparable pump and replace it with a little plumbing mortifications. Search modification skimmers, I’m sure some ideas will come up. This is possible since the pump is external, if it was internal, you would be better off getting a new skimmer

Bump. Currently experiencing the same issue and found this thread. Impeller is broken, trying to decide between trying out the impeller suggested by OP, getting the entire PSK400 pump unit, or getting a whole new skimmer all together to avoid the hassle. I am very much in need of a skimmer so time is of the essence.

Finding a matching pump was a pain. It’s a modified psk so I never found one I could get. Switched over to reef octopus skimmer. Works well, but it’s big and the middle of the road version.

I’m running the PSK1000 impeller in my Omega 150 and it works well. I can’t remember if it’s the PSK400 or 600 impeller to work with the Omega 130, but it’s one of them.

I had this problem a couple of years ago right after Vertex went out of business. I contacted Sicce and they were able to hook me up with the new pillar. In fact, I like the new impeller better than the original. I have far fewer overflows now. Good luck
