RUn some gac 24/7. Ozone a couple of hours per week. The ozone breaks down the yellowing stuff i to smaller organics which are removed by gac and perhaps skimmer.

Clean and calibrate your probes. An orp number of over 400 is fairly improbable without running ozone. Your salinity probe also seems of as the number is way out of range.

When was the last time you cleaned and recalibrated your probes?

To remove yellow discolouration use carbon.

I was having 420mV+ ORP without O3. Nonetheless, I un SANDERS 100mg (with dryer) O3 for 8 hours at night into skimmer and set the APEX to shut off at 450mV. APEX never once got to 450mV.

When I do water change, the discharged water is as clear as the new water going in.

@Saltees How do you like the Sanders units? Was thinking of purchasing one.

Hey, I have the same finding. I have a new ORP probe (several weeks) and my ORP averages a bit over 400 as well without ozone. Randy weighed in and eased my mind in the thread. I have a Neptune ORP probe and they did not recommend calibrating their ORP probe but it’s new so I don’t think I have a calibration issue.

Value for money. I ran for 8 hrs in the night where there’s no one in the office, where the tank resides. I can smell residual o3 in the air in the morning after.
