Orphek Atlantik SPS schedule

Hi Guys, i was wondering if anyone can share a lighting schedule for orphek atlantiks that is generating good colour and growth from the corals. I would like to make some adjustments and would love to see what people are using

My apologies if this sounds rude. Was not my intentions. The photoperiod for any reef light isn't going to change from light to light but from intensity to intensity. Low par values result in a longer photoperiod and higher par values result in lower photoperiod.

@Twistedpro What settings are you running right now and do you know the par values?

@reeferfoxx currently i am running a cycle of channel 1 60% 8hrs, channel 2 100% 12 hrs, channel 3, 100% 12 hrs, channel 4 60% 8hrs with a 1 hr ramp up and down each side. My Par is around 450 at the top of the coral stack and 200 at the bottom. My montis grow very quickly with very good colour, my acros grow very little which is noticable. In 1 month i use about 1kg of calcium reactor media which is coral skeleton. But i get very little noticable growth from the acro's.

I think 450 par on acro coral is reaching close to photo inhibition for your period of light exposure. I think you have two choices. You can reduce par levels at the top to 350(personally i like 250-300). Or keep your par levels and reduce the photoperiod to 5-6 hours on channel 1, 10 hours for channel 2,3,4 with 1 hour ramp ups at 9 hours 100% intensity on channel 2 and 3. Monti's are forgiving to say the least.

I have version 3 diodies in a 2.1 unit, they sit at 12" above the water

thankyou, i will take a look at this, as you say i might be reaching photo inhibition so i will take a look at this and reduce the photo period slightly

And what did that read for par? Also how far was the coal to the surface at that reading?

Trying to avoid buying a Par meter I think I cooked em for a year moved em up to 13" much more color first coral is around 6 inches from the surface
