I see that Orphek has made an LED fixture that is available in two colors and two lighting degree's 90 and 120.......has anybody tried or seen these fixtures in action? I have a 72" long 135gallon tank and I want to be VERY careful on what LED panels I buy I want to be happy AND REMAIN happy with them

Any pros? Any Cons? Bad mojo etc let me know!!

It is the biggest point of sale i've ever seen. Ordered one.. was so dissapointed with quality and output that I didn't even put it over the tank. I put it back in the box and returned it the same day. Thats how terrible it is.

The optics suck.. it will burn your coral to oblivion.. narrow beam angles despite their 120 degree claim. Way too many hot spots/not enough spread. Also.. looks like about 6500K despite what they advertise.... also sorta reminds me of an 80's thermostat look.

don't waste your money on it...

+1, you can design it specifically for the dimensions and needs of your setup. But for a prebuilt fixture Luke has the best ones and not just because of the price! IMO.. :wink:

If you did not use the fixture, how do you know it will burn your corals?
