So I have two orphek natura icons over my 85 gallon cade 900 and I just tested the par and the par in the sand bed is about 150 more than it is in the rocks. The nauras aren't evenly flat over the tank due to the universal mounting bracket problem makes. My guess is because the naturals are a couple pounds lighter than their other lights. Does anyone know of a mounting bracket that works with the naturas? I was hoping the RMS xr30 mounting bracket would work but I don't want to spend the money until I know.

Your tank seems fine now though

That would drive me batty, can the bars not be bent a little?
I don't have the tools to bend them, they're pretty strong actually. If I knew someone that had a machine shop I'd get them bent.

If you could figure out the mounting screw thread pitch, maybe you could get longer screws and try to add some washers as spacers on the front mounting position to tilt it down.

Just ended up buying different lights, gonna see if my buddy who owns a shop will buy them.

yes they can be bent, i just did it with my hands to adjust them
Do you have a machine shop or something? Because I'm not strong enough to bend them with my hands. Nor do I have the ingenuity to come up with a better design to mount them. I ordered two dalua x4 s and I'm gonna make a box that goes over the tank so it hides all the lights and everything. The orphek light mounts are just downright ugly and bulky.

Put the short end down on a cement floor then step on it and bend and lean the long end. That is what I would try.

It may scuff the bracket but ya.

honestly ur not wrong they arent the best looking.
If you cant do it over your knee then i would just place it on a hard floor and bend it by pushing down like tambarev said but maybe use a towel if you are doing it on cement. It isnt easy but they will definitely bend

I am sure the right person can bend those without messing them up. But it’s not good if they came like that. I am surprised. I have Natura icons. I like the lights but they really look best hung from the ceiling suspended over the aquarium.
