Osmolator 3155 putting voltage into tank

I have an Osmolator 3155 I got used in 2020, but it was about two years old when I got it. A few weeks ago I noticed when sticking my hand in the sump with a small cut I was feeling tingling. So I got out the multimeter and started checking for voltage. Eventually I determined it to be the Osmolator. With the unit on the tank barely has any voltage detected. With it on it jumps up to around 25 volts. Also confirmed the tingling goes away when the unit is off.

Is this something that can be repaired? I’m not sure exactly the date of manufacture since the sticker on the back is gone.
 
The 3155 is 12V DC? I don't know of any way it could put 25V in the water, the optic sensor circuit is 5V, the float switch circuit is 12V? In every other case like this I have encountered, the wires are covered in water/salt and conducting the current from another source, I can definitely check it out but this is very implausible.
 
There was already some amount of voltage. I took the unit out of storage just now to test it again. Osmolator off, 8.8 volts. Osmolator on 21-22 volts.

Also during this test the unit is totally away from any other wires and everything is totally dry. So it’s definitely the Osmolator doing it.

Edit: just tested further by removing each sensor. It looks like it’s the backup float that makes the voltage rise.

Do you possibly have a wrong 24V power supply connected? It is not impossible the float switch has a crack or leak in it, but it should only be 12V and DC power.

Please keep in mind I can only repair units newer than July 2015 and this product is no longer produced, I have spare parts but no complete units.

Not sure on the age honestly, I bought it used in 2020. The person said it was 18 months old but who knows. I don’t see a sticker on the back of the case.

Maybe I’ll just replace it.
 
That is a correct power supply but it is very old, Nov 2013, which gives me some concern on the age of the Osmolator and that I may not be able to do anything for it. That old power supply was 11V. Can I get a photo of the controller? On the back is a silver date code sticker.
 
If you open it, remove the two screws, I can tell by the circuit board, older than mid 2015 the cables are soldered, newer than 2015 it is with plugs, since all new sensors have plugs.
