over flow box recommendation

Hi guys, I'm seriously thinking of getting a refugium and getting rid of my hang-on filter. The real concern which prevented me from switching was the over flowbox. My tank never came with bulit in one, and I'm just afraid of hang-on overflow box failing due to siphon problem. I saw that CPR makes the ones which uses pump so that it will siphon constantly. Has anybody use the CPR over flow box?? Just for FYI, I'm getting the precision marine 24 inch refugium/protein skimmer for my 72 gallon bow front and have not decided on the return pump yet. drill it ..if its a Oceanic 72 gal bow , you CAN drill the backs , just not the bottom. I drilled my old one and liked it much better that the hang on overflow that i was running on it . put a set of beans pipes on it and it will run error free for ever ..
