Heya guys... I'm starting a new project with, 40breeder tank and was deciding weather to use a pre-made overflow from glass-holes or do a coast 2 coast diy? which would you go with? pros & cons? thanks

im also in the middle of building my 40 br and from what i have found out, the G.H. overflow works great on a 40 breeder. i have found a few threads complaining about it being to noisy but there very few.

of course.......lol...

the perfect for me and aesthetically imo would be a fully external one like Acrotrdco's Zero edge rimless... but I don't know if slits could be drilled easily in the glass without compromising the it's strength...what do you think.. could this be done?

I like glass holes kit mainly because it's pre-designed and very hard to mess up. I don't have major faith in my glass diy skills. Not sure what the cost difference would be?

I grinned when I saw what happened to the title of this thread. That's funny.

The ones from glass holes.com should work out well.

yeah.. I like that about the glass holes also!
cost difference won't matter to me in this aspect... I'm looking for functionality & aesthetics mainly:smile:

lol.. I know

thanks melev for your reply! .... I think.. I'm leaning towards the gh then for simplicity of installing... if functionally of both have negligible difference

btw.. I enjoy your pages and have helped me a lot.. so.. thanks:wink:
