I was told this is an Oxypora species. I think it is too, but wanted to double check.
What is the difference between echinos and oxys?

Looks like Echinophyllia to me... Oxypora appear to have more rounded, blunt corallites than most Echinophylllia. There are a few species that are very hard to ID because they share aspects of both Echinophyllia and Oxypora

One of my favorites (I think it's an Oxypora?), I call it "living lava":

Hey Pat!

I have a few frags of the Living Lava I've been experimenting with. Feeding small mysis shrimp a few times a week has been helping frag recovery and color retention. Kind of hard to feed though, the polyps do not extend as much as Echinophyllia.

Have you seen this pic of the colony when I first got it? All the corallites are white from the coral rubbing against the bag during shipping.

Try feeding it... in a few weeks you will notice a difference. Turn off a few of your pumps because it cannot grab food very well.

Sorry about the thread highjack minibowmatt! Does anyone else have some tips for ID on Echinos vs. Oxypora?

I thought this one was an Oxy:

It has pink eyes. I just sold it for $35. Was that too cheap? It was about 3" across.

Hard to tell from your pic...but it looks like an Echinophyllia to me.

Something similar in skeletal structure (Misty Mountain Echino):
