Hi Everyone,
im dosing microbacter 7 (Brightwell) + ProBio S (Aquaforest) and BioPellets (BM Tornado), im also using Ozonizer in small protein skimmer (NAC 7).

is there any conflict from one side add bacteria and other to use Ozonizer (kills bacteria, raise Phosphate again) ? should i back to my old ROWA ?

Thank you all !

I am sure that the ozone generator will kill a certain amount of the bacteria, but it isn't sterilizing your tank unless you allow ozone into the water column. Are you using carbon on the output of the skimmer? I think you would probably notice ozone in your tank as everything would be dead or on the way to being dead... Either way, ozone generators when used properly will not sterilize your tank, nor kill all the microbacter or whatever other bacteria you have. The bacterial population of a tank lives in the sand and rock (and a minor amount on the glass).

If you are concerned about killing the bacterial additive, just turn off your ozone generator and skimmer for 30 minutes or so when you add the microbacter or other additives containing live creatures. ;)

How long are you running your ozone for? Are you monitoring ORP? I've run it in the past and find that it does not need to be run very much at all to obtain the desired effect, which is essentially water clarity. Why are you running ozone? It does increase ORP, but that's not an incredibly good indicator of health unless your tank has an ORP of 50 or something ridiculous. Ozone can be highly dangerous if not monitored properly and run the exact way it is supposed to be, plus it will eventually degrade the plastics in your skimmer. Personally I found that the best thing ozone was good for was making the water super clear. Otherwise I didn't see a lot of great functionality provided by ozone that good tank husbandry wouldn't provide. :D:D
