Hi Guys,

While doing some modification of my float switch mountings, i disconnected both my float switches from my P4 head unit. This somehow made my ATO pump started pumping water.

Below is the screenshot of my control page, which shows the float switches for all 4 channel as "X" even though both purple and green level sensor port unplugged.
My usual connection is with a splitter cable for channel 3 and 4.

Is this something i should be concern with?

On a side note, i tried to make a magnetic mount for my float switches. I think i made the placement of the float switch too close to the magnet mount and it interfered with the float switch reading, causing the float switch to be be always activated.

If you unplug a level sensor ProfiLux will for security reasons recognize it as "contact switched".

Better stopping ATO in case of an error (defective switch, cable broke, unplugged) then constantly filling water in these cases.

Also explained in the manual.

-> so yes, is OK

But in this case when they disconnected the float switches the ATO started pumping water. So would you suspect a programming / setup issue? Something inverted that shouldn't have been maybe?

@Tristren - I had to log into mine and look, but have to agree with your Statement. If @Ming ATO pump was still running and the X were showing in the interface then we need to look at the code and see why it was still running because by default it would have thought the ATO was at the correct level.

In the screenshot above I can't see any "operational mode". I wonder how an ATO should work then at all.
Furthermore we don't know how the corresponding sockets are adjusted.

More details, please.
