I have my canopy put together and sanded down. Now I'm going to paint it and wondered if there is a procedure for this for reef tanks?

Prime, paint, seal? What are some recommendations :) I'm heading to Home Depot soon :)

I like to prime with Kilz and then top coat with a good exterior latex or spray using any can spray paint. Never used a sealer....not needed.

Oh okay, I thought it would be good to seal because of potential elements getting to the wood itself

Sooooo I've had my canopy painted for around two weeks ready to get everything mounted and on my tank.

Problem is it still smells like paint! Would the smell cause any harm?
