I’m converting a 90g Seapora from Durso to Herbie drains and will be running the return line up behind the tank and over into the corner. Part of the PVC will be partially submerged. I went with schedule 40 and wanting to paint it black to help hide it. Will this Rustoleum 2x paint + primer be safe to use in contact with water once fully cured?

I used that purple primer(for cementing pvc). Several coats, a couple weeks cure time(excessive? ) and it disappears in tank

I've used several different brands of spray paint on pvc pipe and it never was a problem.

Even when submerged in tank water?
I should probably ad that when I painted the pvc pipe it was left to dry for a couple days before using it.
Plus I rinsed it off and wiped it down with a towel just for good measure.
