I put this one paly grandis in 4 days ago. I’m not sure it’s doing well. Looks to be drooping and almost laying on the rock. Is this normal for them?

I guess my concern is if it’s stressed or dying does it release paly toxin? I have heard stories of them killing off tanks.

The concerns over paly toxins are largely blown out of proportion. I've ripped colonies of palys in half moving them and nothing died. Including me. There was a incredible amount of slime though but no casualties.

This is encouraging. I watched a video of a speech from the dude from 2 little fishies last night and his experience with paly toxin and maybe it made me hyper sensitive

So another question would be when it starts over growing is there concern if I cut it in the tank?

I think your concern over the grandis palythoas is somewhat warranted, but just just basic ppe when dealing with them.
Rubber gloves, eye protection, keep your mouth closed.
I usually remove them from the tank and frag them on a towel, so you can see what you are doing.
IMO, let them grow out to a nice big colony and it will look awesome.
