I purchased a live rock with GSP on it and today I found something off that doesnt look like GSP. Im wondering if it is paly? if so should I remove it or just throw the rock away? I heard they give nasty toxins out

Sorry for the bad photo :(
this is the best i can do with my camera :'(
Does your camera have a "beauty" filter on it? It looks like it's over smoothing fine details which happens a lot with those filters because they're trying to blur out pores on people's faces. A lot of phone camera apps have this on by default now.

Its just an iphone stock camera without any filters!
I tried to take another shots by pulling up the rock. Do you think its an anemone?

Yeah that looks like an anemone to me. It also looks like it's inflating ("bubbling") its tentacles in several pictures which is not something Aiptasia does. I am guessing based on that, its small size and hitchhiker status it is a majano anemone but I'm not 100% confident and it could be something more innocuous.

also if it makes you feel better there's only a couple palythoa species that produce dangerous amounts of palytoxin. most are pretty harmless.
