Panther grouper.

Hi everyone!
Have many people here had much experience with the panther grouper?
I'm looking mainly for information on growth rate and weaning onto frozen/prepared food.
I'd imagine they'd be similar to Lionfish with the weaning, but any further information would be much appreciated!

Mine ate whatever went into the tank they grow very fast and need a big tank to keep one.

They need a huge tank, and grow pretty fast, but if you have a tank big enough to keep one, getting them on frozen is easy They'll eat anything that fits in thier mouth.

I'm in the process of planning my next upgrade. It'll be a 4x2x2. I know this isn't big enough to keep him long term, but I already asked my LFS to take him when he's getting too big and he's more than happy to help out.
Do you guys have any idea how long he will take to outgrow that size tank? Assuming he is happy and healthy and eating lots. I really love panther groupers, but would have to pass up on one if I could only house him for 6 months or less.

4 to 6 months way to small I had to move mine from my 125 to my 240 in that time didn't intend on moving him that fast . bad info from the ol LFS they grow like weeds

I was afraid of that!
Haha the good old LFS advice. Not to be taken too seriously :) I found that out the hard way a few times!
