Yes they have and their policies are garbage and they rarely back you up with claim. They forced me to open a business account and I don't have a business.
In cases like yours when you've been inactive 30 days or an unusual higher amount than your typical sale- they will hold funds UNTIL 24-48 hours after delivery.
We depend on those funds to pay the shipping costs and our bills and they ransom OUR money ??

Something HAS changed at paypal. I'm not sure what @RedSea500MaxS is referring too but for years PayPal never reported to credit unions - well as of late last year they are. That's all I've noticed - so far

what are we paying 2.9% for....if they get our $, hold it. Then you the seller must ship.....no $. And hope PayPal pays and buyer is not a total crook 60% they are). And you lose you precious items AND YOUR $.

but PayPal gets the $ and their fees.

No these gentlemen have valid points. PP has done me wrong twice since December. They themselves have decided that I am a business. Without me submitting anything. Without meeting their 1099 form criteria.

And in December I had a guy buy a 2 headed dragon soul. He showed me videos and pictures alive and well in his tank days later. Then on the 6th day he says it doesnt look so good. 24 hours later he says 1 head bailed out and then it dies. Well he 3 weeks later files a DOA with pp. Which he agreed to my DOA statement. I uploaded all that to pp only to have them side with the buyer. It most certainly was not a DOA and now I'm supposed to guarantee corals for up to 180 days?
I also warned them 2 seperate times about scammers and doing a search on here and Google of what pops up. He followed that to a T.
So basically I paid him to steal my coral and I paid to ship it to him. I was told by pp employee that basically i have to deal with it there is nothing i can do. Plus I paid pp to decide that for me and they are the judge, jury, & executioner of their policies. Pp stinks

Recently had a very negative experience with pay pal as well, not reefing related but it still applies. Customer mistakenly made a large purchase from our website. Of course, pay pal took their 2.9%. Rather than contact us about it, they told pay pal it was a fraudulent charge. We got the email alerting us that the customer had filed the fraudulent charge report...so we contacted the customer, and refunded their $$. (Losing 2.9% of course!). Pay pal then charged us $20 to “investigate” the fraudulent charge!!!

i have moved at least 90% of my card processing away from paypal. they are horrible from the seller’s perspective. they are no longer the safest card processing service to use for sellers as paypal seems to only be interested in protecting buyers.

paypal can move you from a personal account to business once they determine you are operating a business. while the federal government has their definition of a business (garage reefers are a business and should be paying taxes, btw), paypal is allowed to set their own standards and it doesn’t all involve the same criteria to receive their 1099k. just moving an account to business shouldn’t have too much effect of anything, except offer additional benefits. no real drawback.

pp can EAD...they sided with the moron that scammed me on this board. i called and they said there was nothing that could be done. once they rule, that's it. no appeal process and they dont verify that your items get mailed back correctly.

if someone returns an item to you and it does not come back in the same condition, there is a fraud process you can go through.
