Pearlberry?

I went in with @Big E and purchased what was sold to us as a Pearlberry. We determined pretty quickly that it wasn't.....but now, 6 months later, the frag has exploded with growth and color. Now I am not so sure....what do you think?

It's not a Pearlberry........you can come by at look at my Pearlberry colony and the other colony like you posted is in my frag tank.

This is one of those corals that in easy to ID in person but most pics more lack the subtle coloration. Heavy blue tanks totally wash out the colors.

The non color differences are coralite structure and growth pattern.

I agree. It is one of the fakeberries. Most of them are still really nice corals with somewhat unique colors.

You should get a commission on all of the new corals named fakeberries.
