MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE – 75 US Gal. (284 L)
FOODS AND FEEDING – The Pennant Butterflyfish consumes finely chopped meaty foods, vitamin enriched brine shrimp, crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp, and frozen preparations for herbivores. Should be fed a minimum of 3 times per day.
REEF COMPATIBILITY – Not recommended. Nips at some sessile invertebrates and stony coral polyps.
CAPTIVE CARE – The Pennant Butterflyfish can be kept in shallow or deep water tanks if fed frequently. This species takes longer to acclimate to captivity (recommended 4 weeks, or until eating aggressively). It should be kept with small peaceful tankmates and will not acclimate if harassed or if there is too much activity in or around the tank by the aquarist. This fish prefers an environment with plenty of hiding spots and can be kept in pairs if both specimens are introduced at the same time.
