I have never posted anything on here before so forgive me if I make some mistakes. Figured I would post my tank build.
Trying to DIY most of it. Partly because I enjoy it and partly because I just bought a house and I am broke. So here it goes

Wife made me paint it so here is the finished product

Beautiful work. Did you leave yourself sufficient room behind to work the pipes and all the cables?

I say that because I have a corner aquarium and it was a particular issue. I calculated 8 inch gap between the two back end of the aquarium and the wall. Even then its tight to get behind

I covered the remaining space with removable wood panels that I painted the same color afterwards.

Plumbing looks like crap but you can’t see it so I have that going for me. Which is nice.

Thank you. Had Custom Aquariums make it. They say it is 160 gallons but that’s not what I come up with when I do the math.

Thank you, I was really worried about making it. Typically wood and I don’t get along.

Tank is cycled and the fish I could catch are in the tank

Added another return pump so now each return us separate. Really kicking myself for using a ball valve instead of a gate. I knew better but I was to antsy to wait for one to ship. Been fiddling with it for 45 minutes trying to get the flow right

Finished the canopy. :(. Wife made me use one, she didn’t like the light spill.
