So I received my pentair- Im so excited. Can someone please tell me do I absolutely have to glue the slip to my barb in this pic? I plan to change the whole to grey. Also I am having trouble with the balance of the quartz sleeve and the o ring with the rubber gasket. is it supposed to have a little tiny bit of ability for movement after being screwed down so tightly before I place the module in place ? When I receive my proper plumbing parts tomorrow I will try the leak test.

The white piece gets glued to the black piece with pvc cement, the thread on the Barb gets Teflon tape

YES!! Would probably come apart!!
What about if I do the testing before glueing? it'll come apart still huh? Im about to hose it up and do the mediatory testing. I have to wait for my delivery for the pvc that I want. Its all mismatched right now.

If you have an apex, which I do not, they have a flow meter. Other than that there some non aquarium ones and a couple aquarium ones on amazon.

question did you UV come with 1 O ring and 1 gasket for the bulkheads?

Is the black piece removable? I know the glued white piece into the black is not as it is chemically bonded. But Can I unscrew the black bulkhead thing and set up a different plumbing option by buying a replacement black screw thing? Or would I have to buy a whole new UV sterilizer to change the plumbing? I am upgrading to a UNS R90 and want to change the plumbing set up but keep the UV sterilizer (it is18W)
