Pentek filter housings, 3G vs standard

I'm building a reactor and was wondering the difference between the Pentek Traditional and 3G models.


Just looking for a cheap clear housing 1/2" port to regen gfo. My Kent reactor has succumbed to the awesome lid design ;)

The 3G design can be ordered with options like a built in mounting bracket, pressure relief button and differential pressure gauge. Not sure if any of those are needed in your application and i'm sure you pay a premium for the options over a standard lid design.

Not sure either. I ended up buying them, they were 19 vs 29$ for the traditional.

I forgot about this thread. Only difference other then shape is the relief button sticks up into the bracket used to hold them.
