This was sold to me as a regular Peppermint Hogfish. Is everyone in agreement? Notice the yellow tail.

Nope, it's a cigar wrasse, Hologymnosus rhodonotus. Personally, I prefer this fish to the hog. The cigar gets larger, but is more peaceful.

So I had this special ordered. I have a pair of Flame Wrasses in the tank. What are the chances they'll get along?

IME cigar wrasses leave other wrasses alone. Peppermint hogfish, on the other hand are a bit aggressive towards other wrasses.

The flame wrasse should be fine. In fact, as the female matures she will be more of an issue towards the male than the cigar wrasse.

Hologymnosus wrasses don't grow too fast.

I'm actually worried about the Flame being dominant. I have a Swiss Guard Basslet and the male flame had to go into time out for a few days when I got the Basslet. They're pals now. However, the Swiss is very cryptic.

The cigar should be able to hold it's own. I wouldn't be too concerned.
