My peppermint shrimp keep having babies every 2 weeks and it's a fascinating site to wake up 2. With that being said has anyone ever successfully raised these from birth? My fascination has caught up with me besides and I'd like to see if I can't raise a few.

Any and all information is greatly appreciated!

Yes, many folks have raised peppermint shrimp in captivity. They are arguably the easiest of the Lysmata genus to raise. There are many good sources of information regarding the rearing of peppermint shrimp. I'll list what I consider the best three.

If you want a book:

1. How to Raise and Train Your Peppermint Shrimp, by April Kirkendoll. It has all the information you would need. $15 on Amazon.

Online, there are numerous breeding logs with detailed rearing methods. Try MOFIB at marinebreeder.org and MBI at mbisite.org.

2. http://www.marinebreeder.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=201

3. http://www.mbisite.org/Search.aspx?Species=142

Good luck!

Really fun to raise. I have a breeding journal on the MBI site, along with many others. Kirkendolls book is a good plane to start too.
