As the title says....

Is it required of me to get a permit to ship corals either within or out of state?

I dont want to violate any wildlife laws.

i tried the search feature and google but keep getting articles about import/export from the US and nothing regarding state to state.

thanks in advance

You can ship freely to all states except Hawaii. Their Dept of Agriculture requires some kind of permit. I've had Calilfornia open a box for inspection but they allowed it to continue.

I think (but I could be wrong) that California has strict rules regarding macroalgae.

thanks for the feedback guys. just don't want to end up losing some nice pieces in a seizure or have any fines against me / jail time for trying to share some corals with friends.
