Hello guys,

fighting since months vs red hair algae (probably cotton candy algae), defintely no cyanos/dinos.
I want to try a way to effective fight this algae, and i ve red in some threads that ppl did this using peroxide. On the other hand I v also read ppl claiming you should not use peroxid at all?

Whats now the truth, what are possible reasons NOT to use peroxid?
And if, should i add it directly to my display tank or just into a basket with RO DI water where i clean my live rocks and put them back into my tank afterwards?

if you can remove the rocks out of the tank to inject peroxide, do it. i've dosed about 1ml of hydrogen peroxide per 10G of tank water just fine for bryopsis/GHA. although i would inject directly at the areas. taking out the tank, scrubbing, injecting then scrubbing again would be best.
